Best Camera Spirit Level - Who Knew You Could Love Such A Little Thing So Much?!
Best Camera Spirit Level - Who Knew You Could Love Such A Little Thing So Much?! Is the spirit level on your camera tripod in a spot where once you’ve put the camera on...you can’t see it anymore? It’s really frustrating, right?! Having the camera level is really important, especially if you’re doing landscape photography. If your camera doesn’t tell you whether it’s level or not, then you need some way of figuring that out. I mean yes, you could level the tripod first, then put the camera into it but sometimes you’re in a hurry to get the camera on there, or you just forget to. I have the solution right here in this video. A spirit level for your camera hot shoe. I wish my Nikon D5200 had come with one of these as standard?! It just slides into your hot shoe connection and hey-presto?! You now have a way of telling if your camera is level or not! I do recommend buying them in packs because they are easy to lose. I’ve lost a few of them, so it’s always good to have a spare or two on hand. You can even buy these 3-axis spirit levels for figuring out side-to-side and front-to-back horizontal levels, and vertical levels. See the link above. I’ll give you a quick tip about these bubble levels for your camera hot shoe too. If you have a camera strap that has your camera dangling about at your side here, just make sure to check the position of the bubble level, as they can start to sneak out of the hot shoe bracket over time. This can also happen with just general use of your camera too. If you don’t want to be constantly replacing them, just check in every now and then to make sure they’re seated correctly in the hot shoe. That is in my opinion the best camera spirit level. These little bubble levels are one of the camera accessories I just can’t do without.
