Parrots Found In New South Wales - Red-winged Parrots. These parrots are a beautiful lime-green on their head, belly, and rump. Their wings are dark green with a red shoulder patch. The male birds are black on their backs and have a deep blue rump. Red-winged Parrots can be found mostly in the northeast of the state. A few sightings have been recorded in the northwest and in central NSW.
